Tier 1: Entry Program
Our Entry Program provides 40 hours of comprehensive training designed to introduce aspiring Class 1 drivers to a successful career in commercial transportation. The program focuses on building essential foundational knowledge and practical skills needed in the industry.
Training is available online or through a partnered driver training school, covering all key concepts required for professional drivers.
Upon completing the program, participants will be prepared to take the Class 1 knowledge test.
Tier 2: Core Learning Program
The Core Learning Program delivers 60 hours of hands-on training designed to develop a driver’s competence both in-yard and in-cab.
Learners who do not already have a Q endorsement must also complete an additional 8-hour Air Brake Training course.
After completing this program, drivers are eligible to take the road test to obtain a provincially restricted Class 1 driver’s licence.
This restricted licence enables drivers to gain valuable on-the-job experience within Alberta while continuing to build their skills, following an apprenticeship-style training model.
Tier 3: Competence Building Program
The Competence Building Program offers 17 to 25 hours of personalized, one-on-one driving instruction tailored to each driver’s specific needs.
These training needs are determined through a comprehensive on-road driver assessment.
Once the driver successfully demonstrates improvement in the targeted competencies, the restriction on their Class 1 licence is removed, allowing them to operate as an interprovincial driver.
Tier 4: Advanced Driver Training Programs
We believe in hands-on experience, so we provide extensive behind-the-wheel training in city, Highways, Pre trip and safe back up skill to help you build confidence and develop essential driving skills. Our fleet of well-maintained trucks is ready to take you on the road and help you become a proficient truck driver.
Flexible Training Schedules:
After earning their Class 1 driver’s licence, drivers can continue to enhance their skills by enrolling in advanced training programs.
These programs may include specialized courses tailored to the industry they are currently in or aspire to join.
